At Kelston Community Hub we offer a number of programmes and classes for our local community.
Matua Pasifika

Matua Pasifika is a gathering of pacific elders, coordinated by our Community Support Worker. A gathering for shared stories, crafts, food, singing and laughter.
The last Tuesday of every month: 10.30am - 12:00pm

Cozy Club

Are you over 65yrs and want to meet new people who love to play BINGO? Come along to Cosy, meet new friends and share stories.
Cosy Club is a vibrate club of senior citizens, who love to get together for BINGO and go to different events throughout the year.

Abundant Box Project

Abundant Box Project provides free support to help families get through challenging times. If you know a family who is in need of food support, you can give us a call.
PLEASE NOTE: We don't normally service whanau outside of the Whau Area. However due to Covid19 this year, we are taking into consideration other whanau outside of this catchment.

We want to acknowledge Auckland Council - Manaaki Funding for the
generous support of putea (money) that has helped us hugely during lockdown 4&3 for our food parcels and cooked meals for our whanau, kaumatua kuia and especially those living on their own.
Project Whenua

Monthly garden workshops held here at the hub. Learn how to build and maintain your own garden, to creating your own compost and lots more. We supply the building materials, knowledge and supply a morning tea. There is a small charge of $5.00 per workshop.
Different topics every month, and some workshops are repeated due to high demand. Watch this space for up and coming workshops for 2021, or keep an eye out for updates on our facebook page.

Hippy

HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters) is a 2 year home based programme that helps parents to get their child ready for school learning. Children can start HIPPY when they are between 3 yrs and 4 yrs old.
Your child will learn about books, numbers, colours and shapes. Learn to write their name, enjoy many songs, listen and follow instructions, develop logical thinking and problem solving and enjoy exploring and experimenting and much more.
The Group Meeting is fortnightly coming together of parents and tutors to work through the activities and share experiences and have fun.
